Damsels & Dragons

A fascinating group of insects , bejewelled little winged predators most people overlook. After spending up to three years as a nymph at the bottom of a pond ,they take to the wing to breed for the last few months of their lives. Brightens my summers to see them ! take a closer look next time you see one!
The species portrayed are ones i have encountered in both Europe & Africa.
